Terms of Service

These terms describe what you get when you use Aback Analytics, what we ask of you in return, and what neither of us promises.

Last updated: October 22, 2026

The agreement

These terms form an agreement between you and Aback Group for the use of Aback Analytics. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. If you use the service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are allowed to bind that company.

The service

Aback Analytics provides website analytics, custom events and goals, conversion funnels, visitor journeys, revenue attribution, a server-side event API and a website scoped read API. The service is delivered over the internet and may change as the product changes. New features may be added, and existing ones may be changed or withdrawn.

A feature is only available to you when your plan includes it. The entitlement service on the server decides what your account may do, and the dashboard shows the same information.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account: keep your sign in details and your API keys private, and tell us if you believe a key or a session has been exposed. API key secrets are shown once when they are created, and you can revoke them at any time.

You must be old enough to enter into this agreement in your country, and you must not use the service in a way that breaks the law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

  • send events for a website you do not own or have permission to measure, or try to inject events into someone else's reports;
  • attempt to access another account, website, event stream or API key, or to probe the service for weaknesses outside the published API;
  • collect data that you are not allowed to collect, or record form contents, keystrokes or other personal data through the tracking script;
  • resell the service, or present it as your own product, without a written agreement;
  • overwhelm the service with automated traffic that degrades it for other customers.

Your content and your data

You keep all rights to the data you send us. You give us the limited permission needed to store it, process it and show it back to you, and to delete it when you ask or when the retention window ends.

You are responsible for having the legal basis to collect the data you collect through the tracking script, for the notices you show to your visitors, and for honouring any consent or opt out they give you. The service can be configured to respect a Do Not Track signal and to exclude internal traffic, but the decisions remain yours.

Plans, limits and billing

Plans, prices and limits are configured on the server and may change. We will tell you before a change affects your account, and a change to the limits of a paid plan takes effect at the start of the next billing period.

Subscription payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which is the only payment provider used for Aback Analytics subscriptions. We do not store card details. Your subscription renews until you cancel it, and cancelling stops the renewal at the end of the period you have already paid for.

If a payment fails, the account enters a grace period before the paid features are withdrawn. Usage is metered against the monthly limit of the plan, and the current usage is visible in the dashboard.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, that endangers the service or the data of other customers, or for which a payment has not been settled. We will tell you why first, unless the law or an emergency prevents us from doing so.

No warranty, no service level agreement

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, that every report will be available at a particular time, or that it will meet a particular standard. We do not offer a service level agreement, an uptime commitment or a performance guarantee, and we do not publish a benchmark that we have not measured.

Numbers in the dashboard come from the events that were recorded. If an event was not received, it is not in the report. A figure that is not available is shown as unavailable rather than as zero.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, revenue or data. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Governing law

[Placeholder. The governing law and the courts that will hear a dispute have not been set for this build. Add the governing law, the courts and any required reference to the agreement before the service is offered to anyone else.]

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top of the page changes with it and the changelog records the change. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Contact

Write to privacy@aback.com with any question about these terms. The address is a placeholder in this build and should be replaced with a monitored mailbox before launch.
